Don was born and raised in the U.S. Deep South. It was here that he developed a deep appreciation for jazz, Lego, social observation, Scriptural Christianity, hiking, cycling, boxing, and football.
His athletic, educational, and professional experiences give him a rich versatility and interdisciplinary depth that fosters creative innovation and transformational leadership.
Don holds an undergrad degree in Computer Science and a graduate degree in Security Informatics — which focuses on maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of digital systems as well as protecting human cognition, conscience, and decision-making processes.
He also has applied his skills in digital engineering, cyber security, end-user support, multimedia production, instructional design, open source research, non-fiction publishing, and project management at small U.S. businesses as well as large multinational organizations.
Moreover, Don’s interests in technology, music, nature, and spirituality has taken him across North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania. Such adventures inspired him to create a lexicon and procedures for — as well as geometric models of — cryptic phenomena vital to Cognitive Security.
